Tosyalı Holding is the leading company in flat steel and steel pipe manufacturing in Turkish private sector and Toyo Kohan is a leader company in Japan and in the world in the high-technology steel products segment. The cooperation agreement between world leading companies was concluded in February 2012. The base of Tosyalı Toyo Çelik A.S which is the first Turkish high-value-added, high-technology flat steel manufacturer was laid in January 2015 after 3 years of preparation process. This investment aims to eliminate Turkey s dependence on foreign sources for high-technology steel production. A significant portion of the imported products is sourced domestically after this investment to contribute to reducing the current deficit. The facilities have a rolling capacity of 1.0 million tons/year and employ over 1000 people to manufacture tin plates, galvanized, painted, cold rolled, pickled-oiled coils, slit coils, and plates. The products are to be used by a wide range of sectors from the packing industry to electrical household appliances, IT products to the construction sector, and white goods to automotive. The production volume of Tosyalı Toyo not only meets the demand in Turkey also in a wide geography from Europe to the Caucasus, the Middle East, and North Africa.
