Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) is an autonomous public body established in 1954. Tasks of TSE are to develop all kinds of standards, to engage in work designed to encourage high quality production that is in conformity with standards, to carry out research in the fields of Metrology and Calibration and to set up the required laboratories, to carry out certification and training activities in the field of ISO standards; to perform certification of personnel for non-destructive testing, welding, safety data sheet preparation, quality-environment-food safety, occupational health and safety. TSE was announced by the European Commission as a Notified Body ( assigned number of 1783), for Lifts, Gas Appliances, Pressure Vessels, Construction Products, Toys, Personal Protective Equipment and Machinery Safety Regulations.
