MASD was established in 1999 by steel packaging producers, raw material traders, machines, mould manufacturers and designers to aim to realize activities directed to improving steel packaging industry and introduce the sector globally. MASD has following basic projects To promote the association among sectors, To develop members subscription to the association, To make a database for the sector, To organize congresses, seminars, working groups that will shed light on field of sector activities and problems and improve them, To cooperate with educational-training organizations that provide human resources for the sector, To develop projects that including increase of the consumption and use of steel packaging, To set out opinion statements on topics that concerns, or may concern, the packaging sector during the EU adaptation, to provide information, to take precautions whenever necessary and to make suggestions to related public authorities. MASD is a founder of Federation of Packaging Manufacturers Association.
