AMD was founded in 2006 to improve the identity of Turkish packaging machines in national and global markets and to develop the machines up to the level of preferred products at international norms. AMD has 74 members. Targets are to give its members more opportunities for export, to support the development and implementation of new strategies that will help to make the products with agreed quality and bearing the words AMD / Made in Turkey become well-known, reliable and preferred brands in the global markets, to organize seminars and publish publications identifying packaging machinery; aiming to raise the knowledge level of associates in the sector, to set out opinion statements on topics that concerns, the sector directly or indirectly during the EU adaptation process, to provide information, to take precautions whenever necessary and to make suggestions to related public authorities. AMD is a member of MAKFED Turkish Machinery Federation and a founding member of Federation of Packaging Manufacturers Associations.
